Janine Nesin, Chapter President, ALAPTA Janine Nesin is a physical therapist, co-owner and CEO of Nesin Therapy Services in Huntsville, Alabama Janine graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science from Auburn University in 1992. In 1996, she graduated with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Creighton University in Omaha, NE. Janine earned her Board Certification as an Orthopaedic Specialist by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties in 2005. Her continuing education and practice have focused primarily on orthopedic manual physical therapy, neuromuscular re-education, and women’s health.
As an individual and in her company, Janine has been actively involved in professional and community associations. She has been actively involved in the Alabama Chapter of the American Physical Therapy Association, including serving as Vice-President since 2009. Nesin has served as both Co-Chair and Chair of Health Day for Leadership Huntsville/Madison County and serves on the leadership committee for the Women’s Economic Development Council. Nesin is actively involved in her local Chambers of Commerce and involved in numerous charitable organizations and activities in the local community.
As CEO of Nesin Therapy Services, Janine has overseen the opening, ongoing development, and operation of Nesin’s three outpatient clinics, maintaining the commitment to providing the highest quality outpatient physical therapy services. Janine’s company has been the recipient of numerous awards including the Huntsville Chamber’s Small Business Award and 2-time winner of the Best Places to Work Award. The company has also received recognition nationally including Regional Winner of the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Family-Owned Business of the Year and recipient in both 2009 and 2010 of the US Chamber of Commerce’s Blue Ribbon Award, distinguished as one of the top 75 small businesses in the United States.
