THE AL PHYSICAL THERAPY LICENSING BOARD RULE CHANGE REGARDING CONTINUING COMPETENCY IS NOW LAW
HERE IS HOW IT AFFECTS YOU:
You now have more choices when it comes to continuing competency and the courses you may choose. ProCert is no longer the only option.
The rule change is retroactive to October 1, 2013. If you attended a course since October 1, 2013 from one of the providers below, you may use it towards your renewal this October.
Courses from the following providers are now accepted and do not have to go through ProCert to have CCUS count in AL.
IACET Approved Providers (1 CCU for each contact hour completed) *APTA is an IACET Approved Provider
Alabama Physical Therapy Association (ALAPTA)
Other Chapters and Sections of APTA
Courses Provided byCAPTE Approved Physical Therapy Programs (1 CCU for each semester hour completed)
ABPTRFE Residency or Fellowship Programs (15 CCUS for each 1,000 hours completed)
